So the next day we were greeted with more spectacular weather, as you can see on the reflection on this hood, and we were all clearly sad and depressed about the whole thing....

I didn’t take many pics, but when we stopped for a photo op, I started. It’s a pity that no one else had a camera....

we spent some time arranging ourselves for the best shot....

Yes Cathy, we drive for hours and hours to go somewhere where we can take pictures of the cars. Yes, uh huh, that is our idea of a good time. No, really, I am not kidding, that’s it. As much as Cathy thought we were all nuts, she was one hell of a great "sweeper". I have never seen so many toys as I saw in Tony’s car. I wish I had pics of that!

I finally got to see Impala Brown. Gorgeous.

This is Danny giving Nancy parking instructions. If I could only have given you the accompanying sound file...

Meanwhile, stashed in the trunk of Brent P and Connie’s baby, coming all the way from Missouri was everything from backpacks and tents to matching white Stoneguards.

They promised to identify all the objects, so here they are, I hope youse guys can get to the Internet to check it out and post the items.
It was great seeing folks from so far away, with loads of good stories about Z3ing cross country. (Sorry about the ticket in New York L )

Oh, speaking of which, I was following Jon T to breakfast. As he made a right turn at a stop light he radioed that he was going for a right turn on red. I saw him move out, and checked up the road for oncoming traffic to follow him and drove right into his car. It turns out that is a blind turn, Jon saw an oncoming car I couldn’t see and stopped. Both bumpers got pretty roughed up. It took me a while to sort out what had happened, but learned an important lesson or two. Lucky for me Jon isnt holding it against me, and luckier still that both damaged bumpers were already damaged and repaired and damaged again before I hit Jon. Now they call me "Crash". I am really sorry Jon, and I promise to fix both bumpers to your satisfaction.

OK back to to the pics...
This nice couple showed up in a Corvette (and we saw them hit the parking spacer, ouch!) and before they could get out of their car, we enlisted them to take pictures of us. THANK YOU!

the people
Anyone who can fill in or correct names...? See, we have to schedule into these drives more parking lot time... C’mon Ron and Richard, I don’t want a photo of your butts... "But Rachel, we’re talking CARS!!"

my composites...
the cars... we’re missing some folks here, where’s Bobby’s Silver coupe? We had 3 coupes I think, more than 20 cars...

the people and the cars

Well, that’s all the pics that I got, I am SURE there will be HOARDS more... you saw all those cameras...and I can’t wait to see. More goats at lunch, which was yummy and fun. Dinner was also wonderful, with a special sunlit room for our group. JonT I slpit to catch the sunset on Route 6 to Bear Mountain and the Palisades, which is an awesome ride in itself. It was a GREAT trip and thank you and Bravo to Danny and Nancy and the sublime Connecticutians!
