Little Boston Green Riding Hood (archive)

Mom’s birthday, 2001. After last year’s Z3 toboggan experience (Salt Rant), I resolved to buy winter tires, and settled on Artic Alpins as the best of both worlds. Today was a fair test, although the snow was not covering the roads anywhere.

Maps on Yahoo gave me these wonderful new roads that cut my trip time by 45 minutes. They’ll be great in warmer weather, and were a blessing in winter.

Natch, I could have just taken interstates, but I would have missed my Winter shot for Zister Morphing (that’s a rock’n’roll reference... anyone get it?). Got the shot...

Certainly I felt more comfortable pulling onto that snow for the picture with snow tires than without.

Dreams of Spring and Fixit Day and new wheels and tires....

I made it to Mom’s AOK, and spent some quality time.

The rest of the day was spent in cousin Lisa’s garage installing David’s UNGO, but that’s another write up coming... and next time I will be sure to bring a frikin space heater.

All in all I am happy for the snow tires.

This is how Emmy looked at my Mom’s... not for the weak of heart. I hit her with hose of water- but it didn’t do much good. No place to wash up at home, this is pretty much how she looked when I left her....
ah well.
