I understand there is a "sticker"
skillfully placed on the original CD/R210/220 that prevents metal on
metal contact with the alarm.
The 4773 does not have this sticker and therefore you get the single
beep when alarming the car.
Does anyone know where to place the packing tape hack to prevent the
circuit from going off when the alarm is initiated?

Just use a piece of tape in place of where the sticker is on the CDR220.
That's what I did and it works.

It's located about in the middle of the left side of the unit. We
used a small piece of electrical tape for installation in my 996.
