Last night, I raised me power seat to reach a condo gate keypad.
As soon as I did that, the airbag light lit up, and stayed so.
How do I fix it? I've heard there's a sensor in the seat or sumthin'... does anyone know?
Please help!
Thanks!

Regarding the air bag light, they fixed mine under warranty for my 2000 Z3. Required MRS 3 Control Unit and Wire Harness to Left and right Satellite Sensors, according to the receipt. Part numbers were 65-77-6-908-896 Cont Unit and 61-10-6-914-295 Repair Kit. No info on cost as it was warranty at 7,786 miles in 2004.

My dealer, after repeated failed attempts to fix this problem, contacted the BMW service rep who advised them to use "stabilant 22" on the under seat air bag sensor connector. This worked permanently ( almost a year now ). Tell your dealer the factory has a fix for this and that it involves the application of stabilant 22 to the connection under the seat.
