Let's first define the wiper stalk positions. We'll call the "Off" position "0", and the incrementing positions as "1", "2", and "3". For those of us who hardly ever drive in the rain, it's that funny lookin' stick at the 3 o'clock position behind the steering wheel.

To program the interval, flick the stalk to "1" and watch the blades travel one cycle. When the wipers reach the base, flick the stalk back to "0" to turn it off. Now just count off the interval lag and when you're done, flick the stalk back to "1" and leave it there.

The duration between the "1" positions sets the interval. The faster positions "2" and "3" work like they normally do, so it's no big deal if the rain gets harder.

The new module also retains the original speed-sensitive feature. When the car is stopped, all three positions should automatically have their intervals spread out.

Credit goes to Shawn Fogg for pointing out this mod to me.
