I really liked the appearance of the Z3 and felt that being a BMW it would be a well-built vehicle. My hairdresser happened to have a '96 and being able to see one in person helped with the decision. The availability of the Z3 was also a prime concern, as one usually wants instant gratification when a new car decision is finally made.
This isn't my first roadster as had a 1980 Mazda RX7 which I thought was cute, and a 1986 Mercedes 560SL which I never really liked as I felt like a snob when I drove it.
The Z3 is just such a fantastic vehicle that one becomes another person when behind the wheel. The reactions obtained when anywhere near the car are so different than for any other ordinary car. I have never, ever washed a car before in my life, but I personally groom Xanadu and I am proud to do so.
I'm 64, married to my wonderful husband, Bobby, and we have 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 1 eight year old Golden Retriever, Tasha, 1 three year old Chocolate Lab, Brown Sugar, and our newest son, Sunny, a 13 week old Golden Retriever.
